A Note from the Speaker

My name is Rhiannon Thompson and I'm the Founder & CEO of eForms Consulting, LLC as well as the Chief Operating Officer at Davidson Excavating, Inc., our family owned and operated construction company.

Public speaking is something I enjoy because it allows me to share insights and foster understanding on subjects that impact us all. On a daily basis, most of us are interacting with people who are outside, as well as inside, our own generation. Not having a good understanding of the characteristics that shape other generations can create generational gaps. What can we do in today's society to build a bridge between generations that is both effective and efficient while still navigating our own job duties?

Generational gaps are often seen as barriers that divide us, creating misunderstandings and conflicts in both personal and professional settings. However, I believe these gaps also present unique opportunities for growth and collaboration. Each generation brings its own perspectives, skills, and values to the table, and when we learn to appreciate and integrate these differences, we can create more dynamic and innovative environments.

My passion for this topic stems from my experiences in diverse work settings, including my family business, where I witnessed firsthand how miscommunications and assumptions can hinder progress. Conversely, I’ve also seen the tremendous benefits that arise when individuals from different generations come together, combining their strengths to achieve common goals.

I would love to share with you some of the key insights I’ve gained on understanding generational differences and practical strategies for fostering better communication and collaboration across age groups. Together, we can transform generational gaps from obstacles into opportunities, building a more inclusive and effective community.
